Log Cabin Rebuild

This log home shell originally was made by a custom builder who took it to trade shows. My client ended up purchasing the shell and I surprised him when I mentioned that I used to work for the same company several years prior.

We rebuilt the cabin on his property. Several of the original logs were rotten because the parts had been stored under a tarp for many years. We cut trees on the property and made new logs where needed. One challenge was getting the 20 foot logs to the upper parts of the structure. All of this was done with a skidsteer, chain hoist, electric winch, and custom A-frame built with fir poles.

This cabin project remains one of my most rewarding and enjoyable.
