Cabinet with Countertop
A simple cabinet made for a client in Montreal, Wisconsin. I chose the batten and spline method for the doors because 1) the wood was not kiln-dried and I was afraid a glued-up panel would distort too much, and 2) I had to keep the project within budget and raised panels would have required more labor. The nice thing about this project was the opportunity to use the client’s own milled red oak for the face frame and doors. Always a pleasure to use local wood!
